Equal OpportunityBC represents the formal unification of two previous British governing bodies for the sport of Curling within Great Britain: the British Curling Association and the British Wheelchair Curling Association. BC’s agreed operational remit pertains purely to the pursuit of excellence on the World stage, where a British Curling team is entered. Therefore, as sporting excellence is an absolute measurement, all references within this document to “athletes” pertains to both those able bodied athletes and those athletes with a disability.BC has as its main purpose, the preparation of athletes in the pursuit of competitive excellence on the world stage, which it will strive to do within the prevailing resources available to it. The future direction and investment of all available British Curling resources will be based on the pursuit of athletic and competitive excellence, regardless of ability or disability. |
