EUAN BYERS
I started curling at the age of 10.
Mum, Dad, brother (Stuart) sister (Jan who won Scottish Ladies’ title once) all curled.
I played third in juniors and mens with my brother until he was too old to play juniors I skipped. Joined David Murdoch’s rink in 2001 as a fifth player but ended up playing every competition as one team member had too many work comitiments.
Won world junior gold in 1996 as fifth to James Dryburgh

I am currently a full time Athlete funded by UK Sport doing most of my off ice training at The SIS, Stirling.  Aslo enjoy biking on the roads as part of my training. On ice training is done at Lockerbie and team practices at Perth.
Left the family farm for the next 20 months to go full time with curling.
Married to Jacqui Reid for 3years who herself won the Scottish juniors. No kids.
My goal in curling is to win Olympic gold medal at 2010 games.
