MOUAT’S MEN TAKE ON USA’S OLYMPIC CHAMPS AFTER TOUGH LOSSES AT WORLDS

Posted on

Team Mouat are looking to bounce back today against USA’’s Olympic Champions Team Shuster after suffering two losses at the World Curling Championships in Canada.

The Scots had a tight match against the Netherlands and were leading 4-2 but conceded a three at the last, which saw them miss out 5-4. Earlier in the day, the Scottish representatives were edged out 5-4 by Switzerland’s Olympic bronze medallists and skip Bruce Mouat said after the back to back matches: “It wasn’t our best, but there were still some positives there.

“We were unable to convert the two’s when we had hammer, but we were still able to force a lot and steal a few times, however we know that we need to improve,” he said.

“We have a single game day ahead, we know Shuster’s men are obviously going to be strong competitors and if we get a win against them we are back on track.”

The team’s fifth round robin match against the USA is being broadcast by BBC Sport online and on World Curling TV. .
