TEAM FLEMING REACHES SEMI FINAL OF BASEL MASTERS

Posted on

Team Fleming enjoyed a solid run at the Basel Women’s Masters to reach the semi final before losing 8-1 to Team Feltscher from Switzerland. En route to that match they met fellow Scots and defending champions Team Muirhead in the quarter finals, who made it to the knock out stages the hard way battling through the c road of the triple knock out tournament, beating them 5-4 in a closely fought match.

Skip Hannah Fleming said: “We are really pleased with our overall performance in Basel. We have been working hard in training to improve areas of our game and this weekend we saw the benefits of that work.

“We had a really close game against Eve and the girls and it was really encouraging for us that we came out on top, the first time we have achieved this as a team.”

Team Wang from China beat Team Feltscher 9-3 in the final to take the title.
