Graham Lindsay joined the Board of British Curling after being appointed Chair of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club in 2019.
A member of Forret Curling Club, where he has held the positions of Match Secretary and President, he is also an umpire and has served on the Scottish Curling umpires committee for several years. Prior to his appointment as RCCC Chair, Lindsay gained valuable insight into the running of Scottish Curling with three years on the Areas Standing Committee, as Vice President for one year and as RCCC President in 2018-19. As a curler Graham has played since the early 1980’s, been on the 2013 Strathcona Tour to Canada and played at all levels including making an appearance at a World Senior Curling Championships.
He also brings substantial business experience to the role after 40 years in the construction industry, during which he was a Company Director for 15 years, responsible for financial control, HR, health and safety, contract management and dispute resolution. He also spent ten years as a Director of a charitable business, Asbestos Action Tayside, gaining experience of strategic leadership, working with staff and working with other Directors to achieve the best outcomes.
