Glen Muirhead, one of the four athletes selected for the World Universiade Games 2009, has withdrawn from the squad.
He is already heavily committed to competitive curling with his own team and as a member of the Junior Squad.
Scotland will be sending a team to Denmark in January for the European Junior Challenge, two countries from Europe will qualify for the 2009 World Junior Championships via the Challenge. Glen will be skipping the team in Denmark.
Glen feels he already has a heavy time commitment to curling and needs to have some time available for his university studies so has made the decision to leave the WUG squad.
High Performance Curling Coach Cate Brewster is now looking for two more athletes to complete a squad of five. Candidates will be selected on recent statistics and results.
