Catherine Gilby joined the Sport Org board as non-executive director in May 2026 and brings a wealth of experience from her role in professional sport as Head of Para Performance at The FA, delivering the strategy for multiple elite Para Football programmes and disciplines across England’s national teams.
Within that role she is responsible for shaping a high performance environment and embedding a culture centred simultaneously on people, international success and performance and continuous improvement.
As a passionate advocate of sport as a successful vehicle for positive change, her work also focuses on increasing accessibility as well as participation and has been instrumental in a unified ‘One Para Football’ approach.
Her background also includes more than a decade within the UK Sport system, having worked for British Para Swimming supporting their world class performance pathway before joining The FA in 2022.
